Some family-arity

Friday, 18 April 2014

I'm currently cuddled up on the sofa watching a film with Rich and his dad, John.

This month has been all about the descent of the parents. My dad arrived first, taking a slight diversion en-route back to the UK from a business trip to the UAE. Next came Rich's mum Christine for a week's holiday in the sun. Now John is here for some joint birthday celebrations with Rich. And my lovely mummy arrives next week to complete the set. I can not wait.

I love having visitors, mainly because in showing off Qatar to an outsider who has never been here before, you get to experience things all over again with a new-found appreciation. But when it's a family member, it's extra special.

All parents came bearing lovely gifts from back home

And with all of them, we've enjoyed a bit of art...

A bit of culture...

Explored some of the best places that Doha has to offer...

Hung out in our favourite places outside of the city...

And as always enjoyed lots and lots of good food and drink.

It's been a happy few weeks.

And I'm pleased we've got over a week left before our last family member returns home.
