The US Part 5: Miami (again)

Wednesday, 3 September 2014

And then it was back to the sunshine state and Miami for the final leg of our somewhat epic journey. I was feeling pretty good.

We finished the US tour with three of the laziest days I can remember.

We walked down to the Front Porch Cafe every morning to try out a new breakfast.

All were delicious, but the blueberry and strawberry pancakes just edged it if you forced me to pick a winner.

We chilled in our very cool hotel room, listened to the record player and read our books while it rained outside.

And in between storms, we caught some sun by the pool up on the roof of the hotel.

We wandered down Ocean Drive to Nikki Beach.

And ate in some classy establishments.

And some not so classy establishments.

We caught a Liverpool - Man U Match at the Sun Life stadium

Where Martin Garrix played at half time.

And we popped into meet the BeIN Sports Miami team and have a tour.

Finally, we enjoyed lots of beach time, absorbing the memory of those dramatic, stormy skies and pretty painted beach huts before we had to say goodbye to South Beach for the last time.

Miami, much like the other cities we visited, you touched our hearts.

Getting onto that plane and gliding off into the American sunset was painful.

But every time we have a cup of tea in one of our souvenir mugs, we're reminded of four very special places and one amazing journey.

My love and I had just had the most fantastic adventure.

I can't wait to share many more with him.
