Weekly Ponderings 13

Friday 10 April 2015

This week I was excited about...

Returning home to the land of green fields, family and (fingers crossed, fingers crossed...) sunshine! We were in luck. The birds were singing in the trees, the daffodils were blooming and the sun beamed down from the sky to welcome us back to the British countryside (Alright, it might not look like it from this picture, but you're just going to have to trust me on this, OK?!).

It was even so warm that I was able to do a spot of blogging from a comfy seat on our balcony.

This week I was reminded...

How special and unique the food is in the UK. From bacon butties and brunches to cakes and champagne afternoon teas, we ate all the food. And it was good.

This week I appreciated...

Completing a whole heap of wedding-related business including visiting both of our stunning wedding venues on Easter Day: firstly our Church for the Easter service and then Chatsworth for their Laurent Perrier afternoon tea (which I highly recommend if you're ever in the area).

A fabulous stay in a hotel I have lusted after for quite a while (full post coming soon).

A beautiful Springtime walk through my favourite London park on our last day before flying home.

Quote of the week...

I'm going to miss England so much! I know a lot of you have just returned from Easter jaunts yourself - do post a comment on what you've been up to or a link to any blog posts in the comments below. I'd love to have a read! Enjoy the spring sunshine wherever you are.

  1. Lol! It's so annoying when you're like 'Ooooh... what a nice day' and then your photo just looks grey! Glad you had a good time in the UK!
