This week I was excited about...
Mr Sunshine-to-be's birthday. We started the celebrations weeks ago really, but we kicked things off properly in style last night with supper at delectable Gordon Ramsay Doha. Ever since, I have been handing him cards with little hints at what the next surprise will be. It starts tonight when we head to the airport!! More on that later...
This week I was reminded...
How difficult it is to be a new mummy out here in the desert, so far away from friends and family. But also how amazingly my friend Donna is coping despite these hardships with her wee one, Lachie. She's a super mummy and he's a very lucky little boy! Here he is, smiling away on my knee. Broody now? You're welcome.
This week I appreciated...
A night with my fellow Essex girl desert dweller
Sampling another delightful Doha afternoon tea.
Doha foodie chat at a Zomato meet-up at Eatopia.

What a fab week/end :)
DeleteThanks Emma & Angie, it has been a hectic but lovely week! I think Rich is disappointed that the birthday treasure hunt is now over - after 10 cards and surprises, I'm sure he was half expecting another one as I walked out the door today!

Loved this post! And a happy belated birthday to Rich! I always assume everyone is at least 5-10 years younger than me, so am quite happy to see Rich joining the 30s club too! :) xx
ReplyDeleteAs iiiiiif you are in your 30s, you don't look a day over 21! I join the club this year too. Dire. May need some kind words of support from you when this happens.
