For those of you that are yet to be acquainted with Mr Sunshine-to-be, allow me to introduce him to you. Here we are in some pretty typical scenes from our life these days (basically, eating or about to eat lots of lovely food).
Back before these scenes became so commonplace, almost 20 months ago at the end of October 2013, I wrote my very first blog post. We were approaching an important crossroads in our relationship - I had just made the terrifying decision to put an end to the long distance relationship we had been
But what made me up sticks and head to the other side of the world when I had a perfectly good job and life back in London? Well this post and this post go a long way towards explaining. It is pretty simple really, I was in love!
Luckily, the move turned out to be the best decision of my life.
We're a pretty good team you see, as I think I demonstrated nicely in my post on 6 things I've learnt about relationships. (Actually, Mr Sunshine-to-be then went on to eclipse me with an even better post on this theme when he took over my blog as a guest poster back in January).
The reason why we're so great together is due to the fact that our love story actually started many years back, while we were still at University (although we hadn't realised it at the time), as I explained to Dream Days Blog's readers at the beginning of our wedding collaboration series in March. Many plot twists and turns later, and Rich eventually brought out the big guns with the most surprising and romantic proposal one night on a beach in Doha.
Cue much excitement, lots of champagne (and a little more champagne) before knuckling down and quickly becoming the pro wedding planner that I am today.
A few months later, as I got to know my wonderful friend Rosalyn a lot better, and discovered that she was getting married just two weeks after me, we decided it would be a fun idea to collaborate on a wedding series over on her blog. First up, I let you all into the secrets behind my wedding ideas and inspiration and one month later, I discussed the less fun side of planning a wedding from abroad, and 'fessed up about my wedmin woes. Next is a very exciting post about what I'm most looking forward to - look out for that on Dream Days on Saturday!
Over the next month on my own blog, I will be updating you on all of my wedding news as and when it happens, and providing you with all of the advice I have accumulated in order to help you to get ready for your big day (or just so you can have a little nose into mine).
So now it's over to you. Are there any wedding-themed posts in particular that you would like to see on Follow Your Sunshine? What are your most pressing wedmin-related questions or concerns? And if you're already married, what sort of posts would you have loved to have read in the lead up to the day itself?
For now, I'll leave you with 'that video'...
Tear.
Ahhh Polly this is so exciting! I'll be squirreling away all of your wedding tips onto my (secret!) wedding Pinterest board!
